Shadows Pub & Grill |
Built in 1886, the Cheyenne Union Pacific Depot is widely acknowledged to be one of the most beautiful railroad stations in North America. Designed in Romanesque Style and constructed in Polychromatic Sandstone, the three story depot is a major historical structure in the rocky mountain area. Major renovation of the building occurred in 1922 when the structure was extended to its present, 331 foot length and again in 1929 when the interior was modernized to reflect the then current art deco style.
The conversion of the Union Pacific Railroad Depot to the Wyoming Transportation Museum and Learning Center has been in the public eye since 1990. The majority of funds raised and donated for the building and provide basic infrastructure. |

The Shadows Pub & Grill has chosen to keep its original flooring for historical purposes. Shadows Pub & Grill has also taken great measure to preserve the interior of this section of the Depot. The upper architecture is original as well as the windows and woodwork being restored to its original product. The lights and fans were fabricated to replicate the originals. We are very proud that the interior of our restaurant was designed by our Owner and Brew Master, Shad Griffith and his sister Nici Griffith of Portland, OR |
