Trinity's Closet started out with my lending old pageant dresses to my daughter's friends for formal dances. I always ended up giving the gown to the person because they looked so great in it and they were so happy to have it! I started to think that I could easily do this on a special case by case basis in my town. I created Trinity's Closet in an effort to help Middle School and High School age young women in the Fort Collins Colorado area attend their formal dances or formal events with a 'primo' gown who would not be able to finance the experience on their own. My daughter Alexis does this this project with me and with her expertise in what teenage girls want in a gown, we can match a great gown to each young woman. A formal is a significant milestone in the life of a young woman and you can help us give some girls a wonderful memory.

DRESS OR GOWN INQUIRY:

If you are involved with an organization that helps young girls or know of a girl in need of a dress or gown please contact me. You will need the following information:

  • Size of girl : Chest, Hip and Waist measurements and normal dress size
  • Favorite Colors, fabrics, dress style, etc.
  • Any additional infomation that will help me choose a beautiful gown. I want this dress to be extra special, so please provide as much informaton on the girl as possible.

    DONATIONS:

  • Trinity's Closet accepts donations of short and full length formal dresses all year round.
  • Donations should be in new or almost-new condition. Gowns should not be stained or be in need of repair.
  • Before donating, ask yourself if you would wear or allow your daughter or best friend to wear the item to a black tie event - if the answer is YES - then it is appropriate for donation to Trinity's Closet
  • We ask that gowns are dry-cleaned prior to donating.
  • You can drop off your gown donation or you can mail us your donation directly.
